Perfect Lips: Anastasia Liquid Lipstick

February 10, 2017

I have never been much of a lipstick girl because putting it on is just so difficult! First, you have to line your lips. Then you carefully spread on the lipstick without crossing the line, and if you manage to make it that far then I consider you a makeup guru. I always cross the line and smudge everything trying to get it off my face. The finished product usually resembles an amateur clown.

I was convinced by my sister, a "makeup guru," to try Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick. The best part about the lipstick is it drys quickly so smudging is a thing of the past. It has a mousse-like feel when you first apply the lipstick, but then it dries to give your lips the perfect matte finish and stays on for hours.

Milk Shake: This shade lives up to its milky name. When I first bought the shade, I thought it would be the perfect nude, but it resembles a baby pink more than a nude. All this being said, it is still a great colour for everyday wear.

Pure Hollywood: This is by far the favorite of my current ABH collection. The nude colour is perfect for everyday wear. It dries a light pinkish-brown shade and is perfect for my olive skin tone.

Veronica: This colour was my very first ABH liquid lipstick! I must have been feeling adventurous that day because the shade sure is dramatic. It dries a deep purplish-brown shade that is perfect for a night out.

American Doll: Every lipstick collection needs a solid red and American Doll is your girl. If you are looking for a traditional candy apple red shade look no further!

* Insiders note: the lipstick is intensely pigmented so it dries darker than it appears in the tube!

You can pick these babies up at Sephora or order directly from ABH's website!
