Summer Style Roundup

Updated: Mar 17, 2020

Wow, it has been a bit since I was on this beautiful ole blog of mine. I've been so busy pursuing styling and photography that unfortunately Lashville was put on hold. A lot has changed since I last written... like I'm officially MOVING to Los Angeles. To say I'm excited and terrified all at the same time is a serious understatement. I've moved quite a lot in my childhood (5 times to be exact), but never 2,000 miles across the country. My fiancé, Kevin, and I will be packing up the car and hitting the road at the end of July.

A few nights ago while packing, we were talking about how fitting this whole move feels. The timing just seems to be right. We are both 25 years old, engaged, and our careers are just starting to take off. It's the end of an era. We are kissing our college years goodbye, leaving our early 20s behind in Nashville, and driving to our next destination in life. No matter how many times you move — and I'm a pro at this point — it's still a strange sensation leaving a place that feels like home. You're excited for the new adventure ahead of you, but also sad to be saying goodbye to everything that makes you comfortable (friends, family, work, home, your favorite coffee shop, the park where you walk your dog, etc). A new journey begins and an old one ends. I can't wait to share with you this next leg of our journey so keep following along!

In other news...

It's our favorite time of year again — SUMMER! We've waited all year long for the warmer temperatures and endless sunshine, and we have officially made it! In celebration of the summer solstice, I decided to do a little roundup of my favorite summer outfits thus far. I love to recycle pieces into different looks so you will notice a lot of the same items being used for different outfits. Also, I linked to websites so that you too can shop my looks.

I've partnered as an ambassador with Entourage Clothing this summer and I'm loving the cute clothes they've been sending me. There's nothing I love more in this world than the perfect summer whites look. Give me white in the summer, and I'll wear it all day. I paired Entourage's Face of Flawless romper with my new favorite Lack of Color Ivory Rancher hat.

Summer is the season of music festivals and concerts, and I'm loving Entourage's Into the Wild Cheetah Dress for this time of year. It's lightweight and flowy making it perfect for those hot summer days. I paired the dress with a double buckle belt (similar), Qupid black booties, and Lack of Color's The Sierra hat.

I love this look for a date night on the town with your loved one. My go-to outfit for any special occasion is a cute bodysuit with a great pair of blue jeans. Throw on a pair of comfy heels and you're ready to head out the door. Entourage's The Marilyn bodysuit is especially cute with the front tie detail. I paired it with one of my favorite pairs of jeans by Hidden (similar) and Liliana heels (similar).

I'm also loving the sassy floral Makenzie dress from Entourage. The print and off-the-shoulder ruffle detail make it feminine and spicy. I threw on the Liliana heels and my favorite gold chunky hoops to top off the look.

When it comes to bathing suits I like it simple. I typically go for a solid color with a cute cut. I'm especially loving high-waisted bottoms this summer. The Bahama Breeze and Caribbean Dream Kimono from Entourage make for the perfect beach cover ups. I completed my look with vintage cat-eye sunglasses (similar), Lack of Color hat, and gold statement earrings.

We flew out to California in April to visit, site see, and find a new home. In the midst of all that, we managed to take a train down to Santa Monica for the day and enjoy all that the West Coast has to offer. I wore the What a Lovely Day dress from Entourage with my go-to black vans. I love pairing a cute summer mini with sneaks.

This is probably hands-down one of my favorite looks thus far. I absolutely love a midi slip dress, and Entourage's When the Cat's Away dress has such a fun enlarged cheetah print. This look would be great for a wedding, vacation, or a more fancy night out. I paired the dress with the French Market tote, Public Desire black heels, gold statement earrings, and Lack of Color hat.

This girl isn't afraid of testing limits when it comes to fashion. I will rock a Canadian tuxedo! This look is another favorite of mine. I paired Entourage's High Standards black skirt with my black denim jacket from Target, a Calvin Klein tee (similar), and Nine West heels.

Oh Paris, if only I could actually be wearing this outfit at a Parisian market and not just in downtown Nashville... a girl can dream. I love white linen in the summertime and found these pants at Lizard Thicket. I paired it with a puff sleeve crop top from Vici Dolls (similar), the French Market tote, and brown sandals from Lucky Brand.

In May, I traveled to Havana, Cuba with my fiancé and his family. Havana is such a unique city because it's almost as if it was frozen in time during the 1950s. Vintage cars, like the blue one photographed, drive up and down streets that are lined by aging brightly colored buildings. I wore a linen button down midi dress from Altar'd State, platform sandals, a Madewell bandana, and my favorite Quay round sunglasses.

11. 80'S BABY

This is another fun throw-on and go outfit from Entourage. I love the from tie detail on the Palazzi Palaces Jumpsuit. I love that the pant hits just below the knee, and the material is so lightweight and perfect for hot summer days. I paired the jumpsuit with white pointed slides from Target (similar), a Lack of Color hat, and the French Market tote.

These photos were taken in Cienfuegos, which is a more rural city on the southern coast of Cuba. I fell in love with their quaint downtown and market place. This street was lined with vendors selling handmade gifts and souvenirs. It was hot and humid the day we visited so I wanted to be sure to protect my skin from the sun. I wore a linen shirt from Anthropologie, tropical paper bag shorts from H&M, a straw hat that I thrifted from Buffalo Exchange (similar), and my black vans.

This summer I also started working together with Vintage Havana as an ambassador. I love this brand because they incorporate old fashion trends with new styles. I'm wearing their striped shirt dress with my ivory Lack of Color hat and platform wedges from Altar'd State (not photographed).
