Studs + Fringe

Hey friends! Long time no see. I'm finally back from my blogging hiatus (it's been a whole month), but sometimes you just need to take a break even if you love what you do. Burnout is totally normal whether you're a self-employed creative or working at a big company. You should never feel guilty for taking a little time for yourself.
Since I've been gone you may have followed along on my Instagram, I attended CMA Fest (a big country music festival) here in Nashville, which was probably the highlight of my June. I saw some of my favorite country artists including Keith Urban, Chris Stapleton, and Dierks Bentley, and listened to newer country artists like Devin Dawson, High Valley, and A Thousand Horses. I've also spent time sunbathing at the lake or pool, hiking with my pup and boyfriend, and doing way to much shopping!
Speaking of shopping...have you ever gone to the mall with friends and promised yourself you were only going window shopping? A you can look, but you can't touch kinda situation! Well, I found this Lucky Brand suede dress in a similar situation. I was wandering through Lucky Brand just looking at new items and happened to stumbled upon this beautiful dress in the SALE section. I told myself if it fit then maybe I'd buy it. I tried it on and it fit perfectly! I went to check out and what once was almost $500 was now $100. Total steal!
I paired my new Steve Nicks-inspired dress with several pieces I already had in my wardrobe. I chose a Free People white blouse because I loved the elegance of the sleeves. I thought the flowy, lace sleeves would compliment the edginess of the studded suede and fringe detailed on the dress. I threw on my favorite white booties from Steve Madden and turquoise jewelry to add color to my monochromatic outfit. I added my new favorite pair of Quay Australia round sunnies and Lack of Color black boater hat to finish off my look.
Now you can directly shop my look below! Only a few sizes left in the Lucky Brand dress so shop quickly!
